PPJ Challenge

I've started playing sims again and began the PPJ Challenge as written by JavaJan.

About 2 sim weeks of play:

Approx 15,000 Simoleons in the bank. No jobs (even though a job was offered to me via a network interaction).

Prosperity-ish Challege Score

I started playing this challenge with Jan that is played in the prosperity style but different scoring. I haven't been blogging it as all my free time has been going into playing. I am almost done with round 4 and wanted to put down my current score.

All my CAS Adults are growing up to Elder in this round. Most are platinum at time of aging so they will be around for...what like 3 weeks? I haven't been working too hard on the vacation memories but have just created an awesome lot based on an idea by jan that makes things a lot easier. From the next round onwards I'll be making the elders get badges and vacation memories primarily.

And we continue the story with a fire. Karen, the werewolf set things on fire but was very good about putting it out. Incidently, i forgot to install a fire alarm in the new house so no firefighters came. After this,i forgot to install an alarm again and two days later another fire erupted, yeesh! Finally, i remembered to install it and i did it right after that second fire.



As you may remember from last time, Sui went out vampire shopping and found the great Countessa; he made friends with her quickly and started inviting her over. I left her alone after a warm welcome but she wasn't bitting. So I decided to try to have Karen make friends with the Countessa. After a few interactions, i realized that "Bite Neck of" is an option available under influence, and Karen had just enough to make the Countessa bite Sui. YAY!!! I've decided to keep Sui an immortal for the remainder of this challenge. I didn't take any pictures of his new set up, but essentially, he's been locked into a room with the coffin, a phone, a computer and a whole bunch of snapdragons. He's going to stay there and keep the family friends number high and write novels for the rest of his life. muhahhaha. and since he has gold badges for all the benches and remains in red aspiration most of the time, getting evil kites and such wont' be such a problem.

Woot! Another point. BTW, Tanu still hasn't dropped from aspiration failure, something funky is going on in my game. I hope its just a superficial thing and won't cause problems later on.



Java grows up to a Teen. He's a cutie too, just like Jan! hehehe. Look jan, you are a man!



Oh my puppy is growing up. I named her Lil' Reese by the way. And in the next picture you'll see Joe, Lil' Reese's future spouse.





Hehehe, here comes the next pet generation.

Jeez, this is a little low. I haven't started all the death points yet - trying to get the family established first. Also, i'm trying to take in as many of the "one time only" points first so i dont' forget about them. I have werewolf so far and almost have career rewards too.

And we pick up our story from last time with the birth of Java, the spare heir (i don't like that term).

Karen also bought a community lot - The Generis Shop. For now, it will be a small retail store. perhaps a club or casino or even a pool hall later on.





Meanwhile, Sui goes out to find the Grand Vampire and succeeds:





Karen adopts two wolves but my little Tigger scares them off and they both run away. :o( so i won't bore you with the pictures of them.

During this time Java grows up again:



The house was starting to get a little cramped so i moved the Generis family, unfortunately, the run-aways showed up on the lot but they still showed as run-aways.

The Leader of the Pack returns, and i guess he nibbled but i didnt' notice until the next night. hehehe.

And then the run-aways start causing problem. i had them get pregnant - lullaby and everything but after 5 days, still no puppies. BLARGGGHHH!!! i tried boolprop and everything to induce labor but no-go. So i put the female wolf up for adoption as well as Tigger, he was cute but he wasn't getting along with the others so he had to go. I adopted a girl dog and didn't realize that she was worth $2600 until the cop came with her. YEESH!!! so now my male wolf is pregnant with her. Here's hoping this one goes ok, she's preggo and got a day or so go to...i think. Oh, i made the male wolf unselectable and re-adopted him so that got rid of the "ran-away" status.

Ok, i see another glitch, because i left boolprop on, i saw that the game was doing something else buggy. for some reason Tanu isn't going into aspiration failure despite being a lot red and then completely red. here is the pic, i'm taking the point even if he doesn't drop to the floor.
