Mhendi/Henna

I went to an Indian convention for the 4th of July weekend and one of the best things about the trip was when i got Mhendi done. Americans know it as Henna - they are basically temporary tatoo and are traditionally supposed to go on the hands (and feet at weddings). My brother took these pictures of my hands:

The color keept getting darker even after scraped the dried paste off. It was orangish-brown the next morning.

Oh cool! My friend gets those done often too. I find them soooo neat!

i think they last a few days to a couple of weeks - depending on how well the skin takes to the stain.
